Thank Heavens

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

Thank heavens for what? For a year home warranty! D and D Mechanical sent a guy (Damian) out to fix our AC today and we are in business! IT IS WORKING! YAY!

The filter was SOOOO dirty and the coils were soo dirty (not from us apparently) that the AC shut down itself so it basically would not ‘blow up’ on us. Nice. Damian cleaned the coils, told me to get a new filter, reset the AC…and we are BLOWING people! YEEWHO!

Now, my girlfriend and her hubby are coming on Thursday so it’s time to clean the sheets, clean the house, and do a little grocery shopping! :)

Melting…

Monday, June 29, 2009

The AC in our home is not working. It will not turn on. When calling the man who ’supposedly’  put it in…he said, “Nope, I did not finish the job. Not my problem.” When calling the home builder that built the home…they say, “Call this guy he did the work.” IT is killing me. Apparently there is 10 year warranty from the builder on this home and the heating/air is part of it. Now, if I could just get a straight answer.

Today, I am trying and trying and trying to get this stupid AC fixed. Wish me luck.

Soccer and Park

Friday, June 26, 2009

Yesterday we pretty much stayed around the house until our marathon of soccer practices starting at 4. T had practice first and then C had it after…it made for a long evening. Gratefully, there were parks near by… ;)

Backyard fun

Thursday, June 25, 2009

Yesterday I made a picnic lunch and got everyone ready to head to the pool. When we got there they told us the pool did not open until 1pm Mon-Thursday due to swimming lessons. Knowing that G2 would not last long at the pool at 1…we all left the pool kind of sad. I told the boys we’d make our own fun in the backyard. We had a blast! I pulled out the elephant pool, water-guns, and a good ole fashion hose! I believe the kids had fun. :)

Good Thoughts

Wednesday, June 24, 2009

One of my BF’s in CO lost her job yesterday and I am sending out a big “help’ to keep her in your thoughts and prayers while she tries to find another job. I know that she will land on her feet. She is smart, sweet, and pretty much has the entire package. Hopefully, some good will come quicker rather than later…GOOD THOUGHTS!

Lesson in make-up

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

What have we done?

While we were at the park:

Gator 6-22-09

*Soccer

*Video games

*Bike riding (Okay the kids do…I walk.)

*Playing with friends.

Last night my girlfriend was trying to teach me how to wear make-up. (Trying to ‘pump me up’ for my reunion.) I have no clue how to wear make-up…hence I wear none or VERY little. :P

Here is the result…this pic reminds me of teenagers these days. For just a second I felt I was 16 again…LOL. Will I be able to do that? Probably not, but it looked good last night. ;) Thanks, Lala.

F-A-M-I-L-Y

Monday, June 22, 2009

Okay, our little family goes in ’spurts’ seeing/visiting our extended family. This weekend we were able to spend a ton of time with them. My boys even said, “Mom, why don’t we just have a party every weekend?” I do have to say…it has been nice to hold new little babies, kiss the ones I have not seen in a while, tickle the ones I can catch, and talk to all the adults. :)

Today, is the start of training/tournament season. The boys will be going non-stop until league starts. I am a bit sad… I had asked a couple of boys on C’s team to play 3v3 with him this next weekend, and only one parent has responded or would allow their child. That just spoke VOLUMES to me… *sigh* another fun season with this team. GRATEFULLY, it is only one season cuz he will be heading to HS soccer in the Spring. ;)

A YEAR?

Saturday, June 20, 2009

It has been a year already since our entire family made the move to Utah. Does it feel like a year? NOPE!

I think about the moment when my husband called me from the airport saying, “Sweetheart, they offered me the job? Are you ready to move?” I remember the excitement of being closer to family (a day drive to CA) and the thought of a new home (with out the drama). Then my mind turned to all the friends I would leave, and the children I have loved…tears still come to my eyes when I think of them. I truly miss them.

Let me state for the record…I am grateful to my husband for thinking about his family-financially, mentally, spiritually, and physically. We took a GREAT risk in moving here which has paid off for our family. I understand that with great risks come great rewards…it just was not ever easy for me to ‘get that’ until now. ;)

The stress of a move/new home/new friends/new world…was never easy for me (I’m sure you all could see that…). To all who followed, cheered, and supported us through this experience, “THANK YOU!”

Can you believe it? It has been a year…………. ;)

Still drained…

Thursday, June 18, 2009

Yesterday I still felt drained…when G2 took a nap, so did I! ;)

The boys earned some money (by walking the dogs) and bought a fishing pole. They figure if they walk the dogs another week they can buy another…so far they have been very good about sharing. They decided to go fishing while G2 and I were sleeping. I got these pics on my phone when I woke up. Looks like they had fun. :)

Crankies…

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

First off, I would have posted yesterday, but Gator and I have not been in ‘top form’ for the past 2 days. (G2 has been teething and I have not been able to get rid of a horrific headache.) Hopefully, today things will start to settle for both us…we have certainly been a pair of  ‘crankies’. :P

We were able to go to Park City and Tucanos with E’s parents. With the weather being so unpredictable…we had to scratch most plans. I felt bad that the weather was horrible while they were here. Hopefully, next time it will cooperate. ;)

We met my parents at Tucanos with my in-laws and had a wonderful dinner! I think my in-laws enjoyed Tucanos. The boys cracked me up…they never left the table and kept the ‘trinket’ thingy on green and just kept eating and eating meat and pineapple. Goofy kids. :)

*After eating and eating and eating…the boys were trying to beat their Dad in arm wrestling. At one point E thought he would ‘rematch’ with his Dad…to show him he could beat him. Didn’t happen…his Dad still has it! :D

On Sunday eveing we were able to visit our newest nephew. He is such a cuite. We all took turns holing him except T…he was scared he was going to break him. Silly boy… ;)
