Yes, my phone I have had for the last 3 years died on me yesterday. Okay it hasn’t completely ‘kicked the bucket’ yet, but it has turned off on me twice in the day and the camera lens now has a crack in it.

I was complaining and E said, “Go get your new phone. I’m working. Happy EARLY birthday.” So I did…

I got a very new phandangled phone. I had no clue how to use it and had to have C show me how to even type on it. I am starting to love it but still trying to figure out what this thing has on it! It is crazy…I can watch YOUTUBE on my phone! Who needs that? My favorite feature so far is an application called ‘Calorie counter’. This feature gives me the calorie intake of most restaurants, brands, and even generic brands of food. I can even scan a barcode and it will immediately pop up with what I just scanned and the info about it. It is CRAZY!

So…if you call me and I do not answer and the boys do…it’s cuz I am still learning. You know the saying, “It’s hard to teach an old dog new tricks?” Well in this family it’s TRUE!

Friday we went to watch T in his Halloween parade at school. Gma and I missed him when he came thru so we stopped by his classroom and gave him some love.

Halloween morning the boys had ODP try outs waaaay up North. From what I got out of them, they both felt good about their performances.

That night the boys went ‘trick or treating’ with their friends in the neighborhood. E and I stayed home and ‘manned’ the door. Now, when I say ‘manned’ I mean it! We went through 14 bags of candy of 50 pieces or more…HOLY MOLY! It was crazy.  I do not think E and I sat for more than 5 minutes in between doorbell rings and knocking.

On Sunday we finally met with the Bishop to get our temple recommends renewed from like 3 years ago. I have to say…it feels good.

E came home saying he did not feel well. He has no fever but looks like a zombie. Gratefully, we have nothing too big going on this week. Here’s hoping NO ONE else gets it.

Yep, we got the boy’s hair cuts and I went grocery shopping. It was a very quiet uneventful day. LOVE IT! We have not had a lot of down time lately…

Thursday night C’s team played in the semifinals. To say it was a totally lopsided game would be an understatement. C’s team came out soft…yep they lost. However, I am proud of C…he played well (like you’ve heard before…that is all a Mama can ask for).

Friday, I had no Gator. I did not like it too much. It was not to fun not reading books, playing cars, or playing outside.

Saturday, we had nothing to do! Can you say, “YEEWHO!” It was a gret day!

Sunday we carved pumpkins with my sis-in-law, the kids, and Gma. It was fun! 

What did my sweet husband do this weekend? He changed out the front door locks, and lights. (The front door was on it’s last leg and the back door bolt had completely broken.) I am so grateful to my ‘handy’ hubby and love them!

Our day yesterday went off with out a hitch! I had done all the laundry (uniform was what I was worried about), and cleaned up around the house. When the boys got home T finished up his homework so that he could go with his Dad to the Primary activity. C came home from school and we got all his stuff ready for the night.

C, Gator and I all took off for a long but eventful night. C had training up North with a pizza party afterwards. We were worried he would not be able to attend, but with some smooth talking from me with his choir teacher..he was able to do everything. She was kind enough to be okay having him come closer to performance time. I had all his nice choir clothes in the car along with some other stuff for him to ’smell’ better and we took off from the field to his performance. He changed feverishly in the car, there was some traffic that we were worried about, he had a bit of a problem with his bow tie, but once I told him it was a clip-on…we were all squared away. 

C made it to the performance with 15 minutes to spare. Gma saved our seats. My hubby and T made it from the Primary activity as the lights were going down. We all enjoyed the quick concert (35 minutes). What I really enjoyed was watching my son go from playing hard on a soccer field to well dressed and a beautiful singer without hesitation! Each choir sung wonderfully, but I believe Con’s did the best (could be biased). When the concert finished, I leaned over to T and said, “I can’t WAIT till you get to do this too!” I believe there was a bit of ‘eye rolling’! None the less, I was one proud Mama last night.

Tonight is the semifinals. Keep good thoughts of C in your head that his team can advance to the finals on Saturday.

While C was at training…Gator and  I were able to play at the park. He was in such a good mood and we laughed and played for a good hour. For as much as we were running around yesterday…that lil’ guy was a trooper!

Yesterday was the calm before the craziness of today and tomorrow. Nothing blog worthy just calm.

Today T has a Primary activity, C has soccer and a concert (yes, he is going to try and do both.) Mix in dinner and homework… This afternoon is gonna be crazy.

C’s semifinal game is on Thursday. If any one would like to know more…shoot me an email.

If it hadn’t been for my nephew and niece helping me out with T last night’s quarter finals would have been difficult. THANK YOU!

I will spare you all the crazy details of how it worked out, but I did get to see 1 half of each of the boy’s games. It was the worst for each of them, so I may be a jinx. Hee, Hee, Hee.

T’s game he came out a little off. My nephew and I noticed him tugging at his shoe (or so I thought)…it was actually his ankle. You could see he was a step off. Apparently after I left he picked it up and played well…go figure? Gratefully family was there cheering him on. T’s team ended up losing 3-2.

C’s game I got there right after the kick of in the 2nd half. Gma came and supported C while I was at T’s game…gotta love family! Apparently C had an unintentional hand ball in the box (when he was side tackling the ball popped up and hit his hand behind him)…and they got a PK. After that you could see he was a bit frazzled. I come and he plays worse…yep it’s me! C’s team won 3-2. They are now in the semifinals on Thursday. Maybe I shouldn’t go…hee,hee,hee!

I am so sorry it has been a while…okay technically only 4 days, but in my ‘blogging world’ that is a LOT! We have been busy with State Cup, family, fun and did I mention State Cup? I have decided to put it into pictures…

It was raining at C’s State Cup game Wednesday night. You wouldn’t know it by this fan! He was so cute screaming for C!

They won their game quite handily. Good thing the ref did not see that arm! After we went to dinner with Gma & Gpa to celebrate T’s birthday. No pics sorry.

The boys had a day off of school so we went to Jump On It. G2 was trying to hold 3 big bouncy balls in his hands at once it was cute!

T decided to show off his ‘mad skittles’…oh brother. C decided it was too busy, so he ended up playing with G2 the entire time.

T had the first State Cup game on Saturday. Their team won. Poor T played striker and 3 times boys took the ball off his foot to score. Pretty selfish if you ask me, but T learned a lesson. Not every on is going to be a team player ALL the time. Good thing he is… They are now in the quarterfinals.

C had the next game and won his too. They took their bracket and are now seated 1st. They also have their quarterfinal game tonight. This Mama is gonna be stretched!

*Side note- A team in our bracket that I was thinking of ‘pushing C’ to try out for next year (closer to home), but through out this tournament this particular team has shown the WORST conduct I have ever seen on a field. For that team alone there has been a total of 5 red cards, and 2 yellows in 3 games. These will be the boys C plays with at high school. I certainly hope they can pull it together for Spring. This Mom will not tolerate the inappropriate behavior, and we just may be staying up North for club (I have decided to deal with ‘crazy parents’ rather than disrespectful boys). Scary how out of control a team can get…even at C’s team’s worst…they have never been THAT bad.

Saturday night found us watching the Y game with my niece and nephews. It was so much fun, but in my opinion way too close of a score for the Y. It was fun to listen to each other’s stories and laugh thru out. THANKS FOR COMING! OH, and thank you to my niece for the yummy dinner. I am so sorry you missed it.

Last but not least…we had all the family over for cake and ice cream last night. T enjoyed having the family around. Thank you to all who came!

Today is T’s birthday! His Dad and I were talking last night about how hard it was to get him here on earth. It made me tear up thinking what it would be like without him. He has been the ‘ cherry on top’ of our sundae. We are grateful the Lord was able to give us a brother for C. They may not always get along but to know that they have each other is HUGE to me.

T we are proud of you and all that you have accomplished and all that you will accomplish…
